How to Connect AWeber Addon to WP Popups

The WP Popups AWeber integration requires the AWeber addon, which is available on the Pro plan and above.

If you use AWeber for email marketing, WP Popups can help you create email opt-in popups that connect directly to your AWeber lists.

In this article, you’ll learn how to connect WP Popups to AWeber and start creating email opt-in popups.

How to Connect WP Popups to AWeber

1. Install AWeber Addon

To access the AWeber integration, you first need to install the AWeber addon plugin for WP Popups, which you can download from your My Account area.

2. Authorize WordPress Site With AWeber

To connect WP Popups to AWeber, you need to use the external AWeber authentication process.

To get started, open your WordPress dashboard and go to WP Popups -> Settings -> Integrations. Then:

  • Open the AWeber settings.
  • Click Add New Account.
  • Click the Click here to authorize link

This will open a prompt to log in to your AWeber account and grant WP Popups access:

After giving WP Popups access, AWeber will take you to a page that displays your authorization code:

Copy your authorization code and add it to the AWeber settings in your WordPress dashboard. You can also add an internal account nickname to help you remember this connection:

Then, click Connect to AWeber to finish the process.

3. Create AWeber Email Opt-in Popup

To finish things out, you’re ready to create your email opt-in popup.

To get started, go to WP Popups -> Add New to create a new popup.

In the WP Popups template builder:

  • Go to the Email Marketing tab
  • Select AWeber
  • Click Add New Connection
  • Give your connection a name.
  • Click OK

You’ll then be able to use the settings on the right to choose your AWeber list and configure a few other settings.

From there, you can configure your popup’s style, content, display rules, etc. just as you would for any other popup.

WP Popups lets you connect to different AWeber lists on a per-popup basis, which lets you create multiple popups to better segment your lists.
